MedicoRx® was proud to be involved with the 2015 Building Healthy Communities Summit Helping Health Providers Address Social Determinants of Health in Riverside, CA this past weekend.
The 2015 Building Healthy Communities (BHC) Summit-Helping Health Providers Address Social Determinants of Health is a unique and exciting educational event for physicians, public health professionals, and community leaders. The 2015 BHC Summit will provide you with opportunities to learn about emerging health policy issues, best practices for reducing health disparities, and cultural competency in clinical care.
The Summit will inspire physicians and health care providers to participate in community health efforts and to be challenged to improve health care and the quality of life in their communities.
The CMA Foundation acts as a bridge linking physicians to their communities. We work in collaboration with all of our many partners to achieve significant improvement in key health issues. We receive funding for our projects through physician, corporate, and foundation support.
Building healthy communities is a key component of what community physicians are about. The Network of Ethnic Physician Organizations (NEPO) embraces these challenges and encourages physicians and other health care providers to be involved in community efforts to make California healthier for all.
The Ethnic Physician Organization Network (NEPO) is a coalition of more than 50 ethnic physician organizations in California. NEPO began as a project of the California Medical Association Foundation in June, 2002 at the first Ethnic Physician Organization Summit.
